BECAUSE it’s CPR AWARENESS WEEK!

I am completely certain everyone has been anxiously waiting for “the CPRawareness” to be shared, well here it is!!! Really visualize yourself in this situation:

🟦 On your regular day, doing regular things, this happens. Would you know how to help? And more importantly if you did would you stop? Whether your coworker complains of severe chest pain, someone chokes at a restaurant, a youth sports athlete collapses on the field, a incident involving water, or you witness a seizure from a heat stroke or hypoglycemia.. it’s only you and the victim.

🤔What to do???? Before you rush in, stop, take a deep breath, and survey the scene carefully and logically. Don’t panic— at all, not even a little– call 911

🟢running to help an accident victim and getting injured yourself would not only make the situation worse but I imagine it be humiliating. So always look for things like: oncoming traffic, falling objects, emergency shut off valves, glass on floor where you’ll be kneeling, venomous snakes, smoke, flames, etc.

🚨Have any of you ever arrived first on the scene of an emergency?

🟢 One of the important things to do in any medical crisis is to ensure that the emergency services are contacted fast, and to give relevant information as clearly and accurately as possible.

🟢If you can, send someone else to call for help so that you can stay with the victim or remain at the scene to prevent further danger, and to give any immediate necessary first aid. Ask the person you tell to get help to also come back to confirm that help is on its way. 🟢If there is no one else around and you have to leave the scene, first take a moment to assess the situation and take any vital actions necessary. Remember not taking time for a cpr/AED/first aid class or refresher class? I imagine that might be crossing your mind at this point. Do you know if you don’t need a certification for work or school that training can be provided in as little as an hour at your convenience?

**🚨WHEN THE VICTIM WAKES UP—-orient them to when/where/how and be comforting and calm. It would be very scary to wake up and not know what is happening. Remind yourself that you’re doing a great job and to maintain your own regular breathing. Did you know that Texas has the Good Samaritan Act that prevents you from being sued or fined for Providing any assistance?

🚨Have you been the victim of an accident or injury requiring first responders? We’d like to hear your story. Comment below.

🟦Finally, thank you for reading this entire post.

😊👍 Look it’s as simple as knowing that learning CPR gives you confidence and control. This training helps you rest assured that you can handle a challenging situation with skill until the person can receive care from a medical professional. To survive, individuals in cardiac arrest (no heart beat) MUST receive fast intervention, bystanders often find themselves on the front lines, helping others around them when emergency strikes. It doesn’t have to be scary and you don’t have to live with the grief of should’ve or wished I would’ve.

✔️Visit Cprclassesnow.com to choose what options are best for you, your workplace, your peers, or your family.

👏🤙You can do this, Don’t doubt yourself or worry about your skill level our goal is for everyone who enters a class to leave with confidence.
